A nice quick one.
The main story spans three days. It has s quite eventful in that short time. You learn a little about each of the main characters and the backstory that ends up bringing them together on this winter night at Christmas time. The epilogue takes place a year later and many things have changed.

Good Story Falls Short
Lori Wilde can do better. These are interesting characters that
keep repeating the outline points without truly developing any real depth. The narrator was fine delivering internal dialog, but the individual characters conversed in an emotionless monotone.

Too simple
I do not like writing unflattering reviews, but this book, as far as I’m concerned, was just too dull. So many little things just didn’t seem right. She fell in love after a couple days, and trusted him because he took care of her cows. Then there was the ever popular jumping to conclusions. I hate when characters do that. The dialog was so so but the male character was pitiful. It was just too trite. I did listen to all of it but I can’t agree with the many who loved it.

Finding peace and love after betrayal and loss.

Could not finish
I have enjoyed other audio books from this author but just could not finish this one. I even struggled to chapter 3 when I just gave up, thinking it get better. First of all you should not have character live by herself and run farm if she going be that scared. And once she goes in barn see that the stranger milking her cows she still thinking she be killed. There other things but I am going leave at this you can go to far on something and the way the female character is portrayed at first to seems she has no common sense. If stranger going kill you he not going milk your cows for you.
