A great continuation of the series
I always appreciate Merry's historical accuracy and the unsubtle way that she affirms that queer folks in history have always been present. They have always lived, loved, hurt, survived, and thrived.
While confronting the over arching child trafficking plot that runs through the series, these men fall in love and have a number of steamy encounters. The story focuses on Everett (an actor) and Patrick (a policeman) as they meet, have an instant attraction, and are forced to confront their upbringings and the abuses/neglect that shaped their lives in order to bring justice to the powerful and to carve out a future for themselves.
If you enjoy your historical romance with spice and plot, look no further than this series.
