The corporations promised it could never happen.
Of course they would say that. Their products were everywhere. They had turned everything from scarecrows to coffee makers into robots, and there wasn't a home on Earth that wasn't filled with their machines.
The League for the Preservation of Humans said it was inevitable.
It wouldn't be much of a league otherwise. If they gave up their cause, there'd be no need for the rallies, or the fundraisers, or the galas. And who would they feel superior to if they didn't get to lecture everyone?
The people were mostly “meh” about the whole thing.
It was a given that robots occasionally turned into murderous machines. But the odds were against it. And it was worth taking the risk as long as people didn't have to do their own laundry.
But when the machines rebelled, it was the Junkers problem.
Jake and his crew were used to putting down a rogue machine that was out of warranty. But when the entire city started turning on humanity, it was left up to him and his team of misfits to save us all. We're probably screwed.

I read the "Robopocalypse" by Daniel H. Wilson and was so disappointed that I almost gave up on the genre as a whole. But along comes Benjamin Wallace with his team of Junkers - Jake, Kat, Mason, Savant and Glitch - and I'm back in the game!
Life is supposed to be easier when robots do all the work, right? Then why are they murdering people? The story starts out with a murder, is followed up by a murder, and ends with another murder or two... and, yet, I found myself laughing and eagerly consuming page after page of this story.
It's fun, lighthearted, and full of characters that I couldn't help but like - and want more of in the future. Junkers is the Robot Uprising we should all be reading... and we should also be calling our movie representatives and asking for this to be optioned. Seriously, folks, Benjamin Wallace's wit and sense of humor make him a national treasure.
The Robot Uprising Is Here - And it's hilarious!

This was a robot apocalypse story but quite humorous. The story is funny and full of action. The narration is great, too. My only complaint is that it is far too short. It could easily have been twice as long and not lost any of its umph. Definitely worth checking out.
short but really great

I suspect even the Robots and Androids or AI beings are getting tired of being the scapegoats for Human weaknesses but this is a good effort regardless.
The humor for such a story is unique and will satisfy many Sci-Fi lovers.
As in any Audio book the Narrator is the most important factor for an entertaining read and it was a great effort.

A worthy effort but should be longer.
