Jimmy Page, former Yardbirds member and session guitarist, was the founding member of Led Zeppelin, the band that invented the heavy-metal genre. This unique and exclusive audiobiog features Jimmy with David Coverdale. David leapt from nowhere to stardom when he replaced Ian Gillan as lead vocalist with Deep Purple and then went on to form Whitesnake, a band at the forefront of Britain’s new wave of heavy metal. A contractual agreement led to Jimmy Page teaming up with vocalist Robert Plant, bassist John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham, thus forming Led Zeppelin in 1968 - they were to become one of the worlds biggest-ever bands and produced the number-one song of all time: "Stairway to Heaven".
This is not an authorised music release by the artist, management, or record company, but an exclusive audiobiog. In this unique recording, Jimmy talks about his inspiration for writing, going back to his roots and the touring. David Coverdale talks about working with Jimmy and how Led Zeppelin and Jimmy were the influence and mentor for generations of rock stars.

In 1991, label-mates and rock legends Jimmy Page and David Coverdale joined forces to release the eponymous hit album, Coverdale and Page. With Led Zeppelin more or less permanently shelved and Whitesnake all but disbanded, Page and Coverdale took their newfound free time and hit the studio. This candid interview, recorded around the time of their new album, features both Page and Coverdale talking about their former bands, the genesis of Coverdale and Page, and tour life. Interesting for a True Fan
Unfortunately, the album wasn't as big of a success as desired but, hey, I've heard worse. A lot worse. This is essentially a press conference for the album released in 1993 so its an interesting historical document for someone like me. Long Live Rock! it's not just a Who song, it's a way of life. ;)

Very interesting story but too much Occult
This was a good book with lots of information about Led Zeppelin but the author dragged out the Occult section to the point of ruining the story.
