The phrase “Word of God” carries profound significance in Christian theology, yet it is a term often misunderstood or narrowly defined. While many associate it solely with the Bible, the deeper meaning of the Word of God is revealed through Jesus Christ Himself.
Jesus Christ is not merely a messenger of God’s truth but the living, breathing Expression of God—the Logos—through whom creation came into being and salvation is made possible.

In the Gospel of John, the opening verse declares: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (John 1:1)
Here, the Word—Logos—is not merely a sound, idea, or written text. It is God’s active, creative, and redemptive presence in the world. This is not an abstract principle; it is Jesus Christ Himself, through whom all things were created (John 1:3) and who embodies the fullness of God’s nature (Colossians 1:19).
The term Logos encapsulates God’s ultimate self-revelation. Through Jesus, God speaks—not just in words, but in actions, miracles, and the ultimate act of love on the cross. Jesus doesn’t just deliver God’s message; He is the message.When we speak of the Word of God, we are not limiting ourselves to what is written in the Bible. Instead, we are referring to God’s eternal and personal expression made manifest in Christ. The Bible, while inspired and sacred, is not the Word of God in the same way Jesus is. The Scriptures testify to Him, but He is the ultimate reality they point to.
