Feline Fondness and Friends
This short listen about two ladies who loved cats is a heartwarming one. One is Donald Davis' mother-in-law, who loves company and helping others (especially animals) more than she does eating, the other is an old reclusive retired school teacher, who nobody visits except for the preacher and the local veterinarian who have grown to love her quirky ways as well as her cats. Lessons learned from both of these dear ladies, so different from one another, are ones that stuck with them for the remainder of their lives. Both funny and endearing, this short audio is family friendly and a jewel!

That’s a big meow.
I liked everything about this story. It’s written in the old North Carolina story telling mode. But the mountain lady story was especially nice because I have a friend who is a Methodist minister who comes from the mountains of North Carolina.

Heartwarming true tales for cat lovers

Nice and simple storytelling
Old-fashioned storytelling is a rarity but this book’s a cozy memoir of the way it was and the value it served in times gone by. Loved the North Carolina dialect and the two stories about abnormal “normal” people. Charming - glad I gave myself this gift.
