The same is true of every life; the ones before us and the ones that will come after us. They all have similarities to our own, but none exactly the same. We all have preconceived notions of what our lives should look like. We plan, we work, we count on reaching our planned destination. But then, the irony in life steps in, changing virtually every plan we ever envisioned. But if we are wise enough, we know that between what we expect and what we get out of life, there is meaning. There is a reason for it all.

In this one simple life, you will see that our lives are not our own, and that no matter who we are or where we come from, we impact the people around us our whole life. It doesn’t matter whether we are picking fruit from a tree or wearing a three-piece suit on Wall Street; it doesn’t matter if we’re young and vibrant, or living in a rest home the last years of our life: Our lives do matter.
