Acerca de esta escucha

Gage was 11, and his right foot hurt so bad that he told his mom it felt like it was on fire! After taking him to see too many doctors to count, his mom finally found one who knew what her son had – CRPS/RSD. This book is the Parents’ Companion Guide to the children’s picture book, Gage & The Invisible Illness.

Gage’s mom shares their family’s journey from the onset of Gage’s “Invisible Illness” to him reclaiming his life as he learned to both live with it and thrive. Despite the fact this autoimmune disorder wreaked havoc on their lives, there were incredible lessons to be learned and moments to cherish. This book is her gift to parents struggling with CRPS/RSD like their family did, in hopes you’ll also find the way through.

Invisible Illnesses are rare, and they harbor secrets that ordinary physicians and people not in the medical profession do not understand. In addition to being put on multiple medications, Gage endured epidurals, spinal taps, and nerve-destroying surgeries. CRPS is a traumatic disease, one that involves extremely painful procedures to attempt to heal it. Gage’s fight to be pain-free was a tough one. But he fought for and earned his remission, for which he will always be his mom’s hero.

With this book, the author hopes to show parents going through this journey that they’re not alone. She’s here to offer you the tips, tools, and resources that helped her family survive and thrive.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Natalie Mosley Klenotic is a married mother of three grown children, grandmother of two grandchildren, and an entrepreneur of Mid Century (specifically rehabbing) Heywood Wakefield pieces and Hollywood Regency lamps. She also enjoys reading (and obviously writing), her pet dachshund mixes, and antiquing. She spends her free time with her children or traveling to some far-off vintage store. She also strongly supports the men and women serving our country. They are her heroes, along with her son Gage, who has found his way through and beyond CRPS/RSD. She is a new thought leader and sought after speaker for parents learning to navigate life with a child diagnosed with this Invisible Illness.
