Historia
After the Final War, after the appearance of the Bug aliens and their enforced peace, Shining Smith is still alive, still doing business from the old scrapyard bequeathed to her by her father. But Shining is now something more than human. And the scrapyard is no longer just a scrapyard, but a place full of secrets. This life she has built, while empty, is predictable and safe. Until the only friend left from her previous life shows up, dead, in the back of a scrapped Tesla warplane. Clutched in her cold fingers is a note to Shining - warning her of a coming attack.

Do you love sparkly vampires? Well, too bad, because you won’t find a single one of those fancy-dancy bloodsuckers anywhere in this collection! It Came from the Trailer Park began as a fun idea to revisit the classic horror and old-school creature feature genres, with a hefty helping of B-rate tropes thrown in for good measure. Who doesn’t love a good Bruce Cambell or classic Vincent Price flick on a dark and dreary night? Emmy award winner Bill Oberst, Jr. opens the collection and sets the stage for the stories to come.

Historia
Once, Jackson Rook was a war hero. Raised from boyhood to pilot an exosuit mech, he’d fought gallantly for the rebellion against the Collectivists. But that was a long time ago, on a world very far away. Now, Jackson Rook is a criminal, a smuggler on board the Multipurpose Supply Vehicle Tar Heel. His latest mission: steal a top-of-the-line mech called the Citadel and deliver it to the far-flung planet Swindle, a world so hostile even the air will kill you. The client: a man known only as the Warlord.

Historia
Once a Protector enforcing the Capitol’s strict laws with an iron fist, Ashok Vadal discovers his entire life is built on lies. The ancient black steel sword chose him not for his bloodline but for his spirit, thrusting him into a destiny fraught with peril and glory. The Capitol is in chaos, teetering on the brink of collapse as the Great Extermination spreads its dark shadow across the land. The casteless, descendants of the once-great kings, are hunted to extinction. Their only hope lies in Ashok Vadal, now a fugitive, and Thera, the prophet of the forgotten gods.

Authors & Narration
Interesting it’s a collection with more than one author. I have never been a fan of collections like this. However, I may give it another try if there’s another. Phillip puts some extra enthusiasm in narration than others I have tried. He definitely brings the humor out more. I am chuckling out loud rather than a simple smile.

awful reader, makes my head hurt
I enjoyed the first two volumes of the "It came from the trailer park" . However, the reader for this one is terrible. His cadence is choppy and distracting. The tone of his voice is like an icepick being shoved into my ears. I suspect that the only criteria for selecting this reader is his heavily slurred "southern" accent, or perhaps nepotism. I know that the printed text was spelled correctly. But with the way this guy reads it, you'll feel your IQ dropping rapidly. And don't get me started on his female character voices. I was unable to get past the first three stories. It hurts my brain. if I could get my time and my money back, I would take it without hesitation.
