i've read all the Mavericks series and love it. awesome writing and reading. too bad it's over. if you love great love stories with dirty hot stuff this is for you.

Friends Forever

Evan finally gets away from his toxic wife and finds true love with his best friend. A wonderful love story, strength and loyality of family, many forgiveness. The story is engaging the characters interesting, strong and loved the narrator brings the story to life.

Difficult to believe premise.

Liked the series/story. Despite the premise of a mother who leaves a 4th grade boy to be daily (at least) beaten by his drunken bad tempered father when she seemed to have a plan and money saved and a safe way to leave the abuser. Why not pick her son up at school and leave when the history of abuse of both of them was clearly well established over years. Made it hard to conjure up any sensitivity to the mothers clearly self preserving (even though she says the intention was to prevent abuse of the embryos she was carrying) choices.

Omg I love her books, but this one actually made me tear up at the end and I was driving too lol. I had to keep myself from crying. Fantastic book

Keeps the story line moving

Could have been so much more! Has enough places to go but alas, not as good as the rest oh the series.

Not a fan of this one

I liked all the other maverick books but this one was so much oh I love her, but... oh, my feelings are .... over and over and over. I rolled my eyes so many times I barely made it through the book.

Spoiler-Somewhat

I have loved this series so far and will definitely continue with the others in the series but this one, well notso much.

Here is somewhat of a spoiler- the story line is about Evan and his wife's sister, Paige, fall in love. I don't have a problem with that, but it was one month after he split from his wife. One month. And it was a really nasty break up. No way would he be ready for another relationship. And Paige is a psychologist and should have known better but she was just pushing in to make this happen because she has been in love with him for 9 years. It just felt really off. I don't think I would have felt the same if there was a longer time between the relationships but this really gave me the creeps.

There were also a lot of repetitive thoughts to the point I wanted to yell I got it already!
