Good second book

For the most part, I like this series. They’re different enough for entertainment and it take place where I live! But I have a real hard time with the intonation of the narrator.  When she emotes she’s fine, but most the time she talks like she’s a robot. In fact, there are times I thought this might be an AI narration.. I felt the same way on the first book but I want to know what happens to the story enough where I will buy all three.

Fun and hard to put down!

I enjoy all of Ms Connealy’s stories, and this one is no exception! If you aren’t a fan, you should be!

Character Development

I enjoyed the personality development of the characters especially the sisters. It seemed realistic to the time period.

Action packed book!!

Michelle Stiles is the oldest of the three Stiles girls and one of the smartest. The girls have been forced to flee their beloved home and mother due to evil step-dad’s plot to marry them off to his awful cronies friends. So the flee looking for husbands In order to take back the Stiles lumber business. Laura the youngest has already found her husband with Caleb. This leaves Michelle and Jillian at the Two Hart’s ranch run by Zane Hart. Michelle find herself getting sweet on Zane rather quickly but the feeling is not quite reciprocate. Zane heart is in ranching. Until a sudden trauma brings both his sister home. One night a man breaks in threatening the Stiles sisters or possibly one of his sisters. All the sudden Zane is now ready to propose to Michelle to protect Michelle and his sister if the Stiles sisters testify to help him. They had already planned to do so without the proposal but Michelle feeling towards Zane has her saying yes. The marriage doesn’t end the danger as they soon find out. Can they over come the danger and find true love? Listen to find out!

The story felt rushed

I’ve read several novels by Mary Connealy. This one seemed rushed and sketchy. Still a good story. Good narration.

Strong and wise

I loved this book!! Hung on everything challenge. I hated to quit listening . Great job of showing the strength and courage and wisdom.

Very enjoyable

Another adventurous story with an excellent Narrator. The story weaves through connecting all 3 sisters and their momma. Looking forward to starting the next book.
