Is it wrong to say something’s wrong? No. But it is wrong NOT to say something’s wrong if something IS wrong.

If you look the other way in the face of evil, or if you stay silent and are unwilling to speak up, if you let people get abused or deceived or misled, if you have no interest in advancing God’s kingdom so that His light penetrates the darkness, if you keep your salt in the shaker and your light under a bushel, then you’re basically an accomplice to the person harming others.

Standing up against evil isn’t likely to make you more popular, and could very well make powerful people turn against you. But it’s always better to displease people and please God rather than the other way around.

Up until recently, the standard in society was for people to accept God’s definition of truth. Then a few decades ago it shifted to a “live-and-let-live” mindset where everyone was free to accept their own version of the truth. But today, it’s shifted again. Now the mindset is YOU have to accept MY version of the truth, and if you don’t you’re a hater.

The world is always trying to make sin seem normal; which makes standing against sin a good way to pick a fight with the status quo.

It's been said that, “The only thing necessary for evil to triumph in the world is that good men do nothing.” We’re supposed to confront evil—whether in the lives of unbelievers or professing Christians—but that doesn’t mean it’s easy.
