If you fancy having a read, then I hope my story might help your story. After all, we are in this beautiful, mysterious, challenging life together. Rest assured there are funny stories along the way – we will have a laugh too, my dear reader chum. Oh, and I couldn’t possibly say if there is a love story in it . . . (There is – shush.) Exciting!

The carnage of unintentional pottery

A few days before I heard about this book, I was musing on how unfortunate it was that we hadn’t seen anything from Miranda for a while. I had no idea she had been laid low by a serious chronic health condition. In this book she tells us the story and walks through the things that helped her cope and recover. Like all self-help, it may or may not resonate with you (I admit it didn’t with me), but it’s Miranda, so you know the story is going to be entertaining along the way.

As for pottery, it’s just a moment in the book like many others where the images that she conjures up are distinctly Miranda and completely hilarious.

Totally honest

I love hearing Miranda read her stories. She’s like a best friend across the pond. Her honesty about all she’s been through and how she found her way out and love to boot, has been a joy to listen to.

So much great information for those who have been chronically ill or injured

I had a bizarre experience with this book. I never meant to buy it. I had never even heard of it and I had no idea how it got into my wish list or how I pushed purchase because I was trying to buy another book that was fiction and I was going to return this, but once I started listening, I was captivated. I have been chronically ill since I was injured in a car accident almost 40 years ago 45 years of constant pain and sickness and I so much admired Miranda’s honesty and wisdom. She shared many helpful tools here for healing from chronic illness as well as information of interest to anyone else who wants to live life wisely.

Vulnerability and humor

If you love Miranda Hart (and who doesn’t?) treat yourself to not only getting to know her better but the importance of knowing yourself and self-love. An important subject matter told with heart and her humor that we love so much.
