Heart felt sharing of her transformational personal trauma recovery journey.

I appreciate Bethany’s courage and vulnerability as she shares her journey to make process and find healing from childhood trauma. I found this story inspiring and very touching. My eyes were wet multiple times as I could relate to her husband trying understand and support his wife. My has also been on a transformational journey to find healing from PTSD. I highly recommend this book to anyone, especially for those who have experienced trauma in any form or care about someone who has!

Hope through great pain…

This woman demonstrates great courage by sharing her life story. Painful, raw and real she continues pressing forward, trusting in her God. He doesn’t disappoint. Reading this book will help you know you can go through hard things and come out on the other side a stronger person.

I Am Real is a book that follows Bethany as she struggles with identity, sexual abuse, mental abuse, and finding a place in the world. It never fails to strike me at the terrible things people and family can do to others, and causes me to ask "why trust anyone". The truth is also here, in that darkness and deceit there is light that shines through - in her life and those around her - of one who perseveres and loves, who is redeemed and forgiven, and whose life can be a blessing to many in the face of many obstacles so many would think of as overwhelming or insurmountable. I am real touches on so many things, but it really is a book about someone who finds the truth in who they are because of God, even when so many others aren't ready to see it.

Bravery with backing…

I have known Bethany for over 30 years. She has been one of the few in life that has made me feel that my words were worth hearing, and I have value beyond measure.
It is no surprise that she is a leader among women. I thank God that He has backed her up with enough bravery to tell her story, and a rock solid husband for her lean on. We’ll equipped with these things I pray that she can be a light to others as she leads them toward the truth of God’s love for each one of us.

Perseverance

The woman in this story is strong through many trials. She continues to strive towards health even with many obstacles in her path. She is determined to give her children a better life and live the way God created her to live. This is about a woman that leaves victors and triumphs!
