So glad I got this

I’m a huge Star Wars fan and I got everything I could’ve wanted from this book. Lots of lore, stories about on-set mishaps, insider info about cast and crew. Anthony shares his personal story in such a touching and honest way.

Fantastic and honest

I love this audiobook and am really happy that Anthony Daniels didn’t sugarcoat his experiences. Daniels writes and narrates with honesty, appreciation and a sense of humor. In some ways, C-3PO WAS Daniels and we should be grateful to Daniels for that. He and Ralph McQuarrie created one of the most special and most beloved characters that has spanned generations. The book is equally as fascinating. I will definitely be listening to it again.

A great back door look into Star Wars

He was admittedly treated pretty bad in the early days of Star Wars and his career would have gone much farther had they acknowledged the talented actor inside the suit. But some of that early disdain seems to stretch through most of the book which can be tiring. Still a great listen from a great actor.

Utterly delightful

A fantastic book about the SW franchise through Mr. Daniels’ eyes. His narration is superb and I got teary eyed more than once. Excellent.

C-3PO

Anthony Daniels sounds so sad at times during this audio book. He sounds like he enjoyed being the beloved character but like all actors wishes that he had been given more credit for his part of the Star Wars Saga.

Overall it’s a good story. I would have freaked out trying to be in the suit for such long periods of time.

A treat to listen to

The book is full of wonderful stories and anecdotes, spanning 40+ years of film and other media. It made me want to go back and watch for some of the hidden gems mentioned in the book.
