Hooked from the beginning to end!

I love everything Meg writes. I read everything in this series from Mari and her demigods to Loki and Tessa, now I’m invested in Ryder and June. I just love this world she created, it still lives rent free in my mind. I can’t wait for book 2 this spring!

Great series starter

Great narration. I thoroughly enjoyed this series starter! I have read many of Megs books and have yet to find one I didn't enjoy.

fun story with some spice and the narrator was pretty good... no complaints except that it was kinda short

Cycle not circle, right?

I really enjoyed the overall plot and world building-the whole mishmash of mythical creatures from different genres and the beastly world/Wild hunt combo. But I didn’t really care for the whiny FMC. It’s like we tried for so awkward it’s sweet and just missed the mark and landed on whiny and annoying. This is only my second series with this author but it seems several elements are repeated throughout her books- quite unoriginal like the virgin and the overly possessive-but I’m going to be mean to you because I’m too stupid to know better-kind of guy. But it doesn’t matter that no affection, love or relationship ever develops because they’re fated so let’s call it a romance… I’m just guessing that’s where book 2 leads..
oh and I’m absurdly annoyed the how many times they say “heat circle” when the phrase is heat cycle in life and everything else I’ve ever read. 🤣

First in Series - does not end, story continues in

A really enjoyable audiobook which jumps right in and starts off quite steamy.
An action packed and at times steamy story, which has the characters fighting for their lives trying to survive the brutal world they have all been banished to.
The story is about June, a storm chaser who meets Ryder in the eye of the tornado that she gets caught up in.
She is thrown into another world where she confronts beasts that want to kill her and is kidnapped by what she thinks are Vikings.
Saved and taken to Ryder’s home she is treated as a slave and not trusted within the small group of supernaturals.
They think the gods have plotted against them and sent her to their world to destroy them.
There is undeniable lust, jealousy, denial, deception and fighting making this a very eventful story which made for easy listening.
Looking forward to the next book for the completion of the story and also liked listening to the narrator.

Love those secondary characters!

I really enjoyed this one! First off I love dragons and other supes so this was exciting going in. The way this is written easily kept my interest. A human goes to another world and finds out her true purpose as well as all about supernaturals (That was the funniest scene ever!). This has an underlying dangourous element that we learn about while seeing a lot of action, suspense and sexy times.

The characters are very entertaining. While I like the main two my favorite ones are on the team. They blend well amd all have secrets. I really did like Ryders dragon. I mean Ryder was ok but very negative and wishy washy. He grew on me but his dragon is delightful.

Overall a good story but sadly it is not a conclusive one. I did listen to this on Audio. Victoria Mei is amazing as always.

What an incredible start to a new series that completely blew me away. You are going to fall in love with Ryder and June. Guaranteed to keep your attention right from the start. Meg does it again.

Perfect mix of humor, action and spice!

Really liked this book! Gets you in to action right away. The FMC is a strong and likable nerd and the love interest is brody man with a slice of asshole. Just my kind of cocktail 🍸 A lot of information being dumped I'm some parts and feels a bit stressed sometimes but definitely a great read still!
