One of the biggest hurdles you'll face as a co-parent is addressing your children's behavior as a united front.... Discover exactly how to do it like experts:
Over 36 percent of marriages end in divorce–and that’s healthy. When a relationship is no longer working, it’s best for both the adults and the kids if Mom and Dad go their separate ways.
Getting divorced is never easy, though, and when you have kids, it gets a whole lot harder. The problem you face is that you’re divorcing your partner–you’re not divorcing your kids–so your extra challenge is going your separate ways while still keeping your parenting team strong.
That’s where co-parenting comes in…and it’s only as difficult as you allow it to be.
With a rising amount of celebrities shining a light on how it can be done (think Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, or Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony), you might wonder if you and your ex have it in you to remain a formidable parenting unit while you’re living two separate lives.
You absolutely do. All you need is the knowledge you have already–that your child’s needs come first…plus some handy strategies to help you navigate the hurdles you’ll bump into along the way.
That’s exactly what you’ll find in this comprehensive guide to co-parenting–complete with essential disciplining strategies for managing those tough moments. Inside, you’ll discover:
- How to approach your divorce–with a clear idea of where you want to be and how to be the best for your children every step of the way
- "Divorce grief"–what to expect, and how to navigate it
- How to start with a clean slate and move forward with positive communication–and why this is so important
- Boundaries, scheduling, and rules–how to build a fool-proof co-parenting strategy
- A deeper understanding of what your kids are going through as you and your ex find your way through your divorce
- Why it’s okay to feel angry–and how to handle it gracefully

Learning how to properly discipline your child can actually help you to develop a stronger, more positive bond with them over the years. The problem is, the more you struggle to get enough sleep yourself, the more daunting sleep training becomes. And when you do finally nail it (and you’re in the right place to find out exactly how it’s done), you might breathe a sigh of relief, only to realize that it’s just a matter of months before you have the next battle ahead of you: potty training.

Great audiobook for parents.
I love the way the author breaks down from top to bottom all the steps that start from when a child is about to get angry to how you need to end the interaction. Unfortunately all the advice from friends and family didn't work but I'm glad I found this book, thanks to simple practical tips I changed my mindset and learned how to better manage my twins' expulsive anger.

enlightening and informative
I never knew there was so much involved in Divorce. Taking time to explain the different types of divorce with their pros and cons is helpful to anyone considering divorce as an option.
As far as co-parenting, I've never been a part of it, whether as a parent or child, but I've seen the effects of both the good and toxic co-parenting. This audiobook sheds a lot of light on the different situations that can arise. And how to resolve them.
The author also took the time to include the discipline aspect of parenting. This audiobook has definitely opened my eyes to the difference between punishment and discipline. As well as covers the alternative methods that work for redirecting behavior. The methods can be implemented by both parents, separately or together, as long as both parents are in agreement with the discipline style.
This audiobook is an excellent resource. The information presented is judgment-free and in plain English. The suggestions presented are actionable and not extremely difficult, provided the parents are in the right mindset, which is where the self-care comes in.

Empathetic Parenting!
Wonderful book for those who find themselves navigating the challenges of co-parenting! As a single parent who shares custody of my child, this book resonated with me on a personal level. The author's step-by-step approach and the wealth of information provided in the book are immensely practical. The first part, which focuses on co-parenting, addresses not only the dynamics between separated parents but also the impact on the children involved. The personal anecdotes and real-life examples shared in the book made it easy for me to relate and implement the co-parenting strategies effectively. The second part, discussing discipline, offers a deep understanding of parenting styles and how to navigate different age groups. Highly recommended!
