Acerca de esta escucha
The Sunday Times best seller.
As heard on BBC Radio 4 Book of the Week.
Racist pseudoscience may be on the rise, but science is no ally to racists. Instead science and history can be powerful allies against bigotry, granting us the clearest view of how people actually are, rather than how we judge them to be. How to Argue with a Racist dismantles outdated notions of race by illuminating what modern genetics can and can't tell us about human difference. It is a vital manifesto for a 21st-century understanding of human evolution and variation and a timely weapon against the misuse of science to justify racism.
Please note: the updated edition includes a new preface from the author.

Book that justifies its title
This book gives a good overview of the development of scientific racism, and what are the misconceptions that it is based on at a given moment in time.
The author reads the book himself, and through his expertise he gives a good account on what are the flaws in reasoning and what is the alternative worldview that one can use, instead of dividing the variation of humans into arbitrary categories to fuel discrimination.
It's a quick listen, and I wouldn't mind if it was longer and more extensive in some regards, but still gives enough info.

Good science book undermined by conclusion & title
Excellent explainer on race (psuedo)science. Would not be great in an actual argument with racists.
