Both books are what you come to expect from Meredith Potts..... cute, funny and entertaining.

Relaxing read

I enjoyed this book with a cookie and a nice cup of tea. Why? Because these books are really relaxing and a good stress relief. So it’s something you can read in front of a fire with a nice cup of tea or a glass of wine. The books are classic who-did-it stories in the same style as for example murder she wrote. I loved them and think the narrator did a great job.

Hope Hadley 2 Book Cozy Mystery Set

in the first story Hope and her fiance are sheltering from a hurricane coming through Hollywood Florida. After the storm her brother calls her to ask her help when a woman's body is going in the street and the death is deemed a murder.
in the second story, Hope's fiance finds a dead body but his diner. Now Hope and her brother must found the murderer among the group of suspects.
Stephanie Quinn brings the characters to life as she takes the listener through the steps of a murder investigation.
Fantastic story and audio!!

Great Read

Hope Hadley 2-Book Cozy Mystery Set was another great book by Meredith Potts. This set consists of; Hurricanes Can Be Murder, and Murder is a Deadly Brew. Both books follow Hope Hadley and her Detective brother looking into murders that happen in their hometown of Hollywood, Florida. I can’t wait to read more by Meredith Potts.

Well-written stories from a very good author

Hurricanes Can Be Murder and Murder is a Deadly Brew (Hope Hadley), from author Meredith Potts, Well-written & enjoyable. another cute, clean cozy mystery. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. I was impressed and enjoyed the vocal variety & inflections of narrator Stephanie Quinn. I look forward to reading more in this series & from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Two different stories

A double header and two very different stories with the only thing common, each has a dead body. One was so obviously murder but the second one was at first thought to be an accident. Well what do we do now- we investigate.

Hope Hadley Series

Hope Hadley Cozy Mysteries aren't my favorite from Meredith Potts, but they're still a fun listen, They're great to just sit down, close your eyes, and listen to a good story. They're easy to follow.
I really do not enjoy this narrator. I'm not sure what it is, but she just doesn't do much for me.

Cute

These books are short, clean stories for those times you don’t want to get sucked into a long novel, but want a brief escape. They are cute, well told who-done-it’s. The performer did a nice job with narration.

It is just after a hurricane and a woman is found dead in the street. Hope and her brother find out she was murdered. They work to find out who killed her.
The narration was fair.
The second book was called "Murder is a Deadly Brew".

This is a short story and a cozy murder mystery involving Hope and her brother who is a cop. A friend of theirs ends up dead in the parking lot of a restaurant. Hope is one to always try to solve crimes so she hurries to the scene. All of these books we have to suspend belief because no cop is going to let a civilian help out on crime investigations or interview persons of interest. It's all fun to read even if it's not real!
Narration was good.

When it is discovered that a woman, whose death was first thought to have been by drowning during the hurricane, is found to have actually been murdered, amateur sleuth Hope teams up with her detective brother Joe to find a killer. Murder is a Deadly Brew What starts out as a good day with a wonderful reunion of pet and owner in the town of Hollywood, Florida, a town just starting to recover from a hurricane, leads to a murder investigation when Hope Hadley's boyfriend discovers the body of a coffee shop owner in the parking lot of his restaurant. Amateur sleuth Hope teams up with her detective brother Joe again to catch a killer. Enjoyed this 2-book cozy mystery set. Also, great narration, in my opinion.
