Love the story

Jakobi Jakobi Jakobi like always you do an excellent job. The female narrator…not so much. It’s like she doesn’t like reading the sex scenes. Kennedy wrote such an epic masterpiece. I love how she describes in great detail every single scene.

Vivid writing and emotional narration!!

Passionate and emotional and beautiful and the narrators added so much to the imagery of the story.

Kennedy Ryan continues to blow my mind with each new book in this series! She continues to deliver emotional, thought provoking storylines that keep you sitting on pins and needles awaiting the next book! Although August and Iris are still my favorite, Kenan and Lotus did not disappoint! There were so many real-life issues touched upon (fidelity, belief systems, truth, suicide ,etc) that allows everyone to identify with something. Jakobi Diem was excellent as the male narrator and Mia Ellis did a wonderful job too! I am never disappointed with Kennedy Ryan!

Hooked from the beginning!

I absolutely loved this story, the characters, and the narration that brought this incredible love story to life! Kennedy Ryan is a queen of romance and this story and Kenan had me swooning throughout the whole book! This is a must listen! Jakobi Diem and Mia Ellis do a spectacular job bringing Kenan and Lotus’s characters alive for the listeners.

Beautiful Love Story

What a beautiful love. Full of giddiness, joy, sexuality, sacrifice, longing, spirituality, and forgiveness, this story has it all. The family dynamics while at times are tragic are realistic. Can’t say enough. Did my heart good. Well done! That cover is everything, everything. Fits the story so well.

Worth it!

What a great listen. This is a wonderfully dynamic love story and a must listen.

Enjoyed the characters but was very unrealistic

The book was good but I couldn’t get past the unrealistic things about the characters. Kennan was sold character one of my favorite male leads in a book but Lotus would not have been a pick for someone in his situation. After losing his marriage to infidelity, he wouldn’t be investing to a constantly half dressed 25 year old with nipple rings and take her seriously. He is father of the year, but would want his daughter to be around a voodoo loving toddler. He love jazz and a slow life. Where does Lotus fit into that. No man would’ve reacted to the art exhibit like that after his past.

The book wasn’t bad but it tried to be deep but the characters were off. They weren’t a good fit for each other. Lotus wasn’t giving enough to convince me a man as settled as he was would risk his heart for her.

Loved the storyline

Great book, I had a hard time liking the narration in this series into be honest, but once you get past that and into the story it’s a good listen.

Amazing story!

This is the last book of this series. When I read the first book (Long shot), I knew Lotus story was going to be raw and beautiful. This story went so deep into my soul. I can’t recommend enough that you dive into this series. This was my first time reading from this author and I’m hooked.

Lotus is a scarred girl, with childhood trauma, raised by her Mimi (great-grandmother), because life wasn’t fair to her, neither was her mom. Kenan, is this magnificent giant of a basketball player with a heart of gold. He is a single dad and is managing a very public divorce. The whole world watching it. Since Kenan and Lotus first land eyes on each other, they could see the connection between them two. However, they need to go through some challenges and unexpected situations to see if their connection and their feelings can wind stand the storm around them. Take the time to read this series, you won’t regret it.

I did 1/2 audiobook and 1/2 kindle/Paperback. I have to say that I love this narrators voice.

Great love story!

Finally, a love story with age gap love! I loved this story. The only critique I have is the woman narrator. She gave the story some level of justice, but her cadence was off at times to me, and her male voice was more distracting than charming. Jakobi was a 10/10 per usual!

Overall, great story. I’d definitely recommend!
