Acerca de esta escucha
In Honoring the Journey: The Deconstruction of Sister Christian, Leslie Nease shares not only the thoughts, concerns, and situations that led to her questioning some of her traditional religious beliefs, but she also dives into some important discoveries she has learned as she has deconstructed (and reconstructed) what she was taught—and actually taught to others—in her former faith tradition.
Leslie doesn’t hold back in sharing her life in an effort to help you understand her journey and the deconstruction process she has traveled through over the past several years, while reminding us all that every life journey is precious and deserves to be honored.

Such a relatable journey!
If you have gone thru a faith deconstruction yourself, or know someone who has, this book is a must-read!!
Like Leslie, I have deconstructed my own faith as a former LDS woman, and I have never felt so seen and understood as I did when I listened to Leslie describe her own journey. This book would also be a good one to share with friends and family members of someone who is on their own journey. It can feel scary and hard as someone watching a faith deconstruction, but the way that Leslie describes her thoughts and emotions throughout may serve as a powerful way to understand what someone is going thru. That’s why I think it would be such a great book, whether it’s your own journey or it’s for someone who is struggling to understand a loved one’s deconstruction.
I had many lightbulb moments of my own while listening to this book that were relatable to my own experience. She was able to put words to how I’ve been feeling and gave me new insights to consider.
Love, love, love this book!
