I could listen to these books over and over and never get tired of them. The characters are so well defined and wonderful. Angus King is a master at the art of narrating.

He makes it so easy to follow the story as each character has their own voice. I absolutely love this he DCI Logan series. And the Bob Hoon books. This is my second time listening to the series. My only complaint…. JD Kirk needs to write faster.

New great story w/ DCI Logan, can't put it down!

As all of his, great plot with many twists and turns!! Who done it? I love laughing with the characters as they solve the case and mourning with victim's loss. Always well thought out and he makes you feel as if you know all the characters as friends or frienemies!

Hard to understand Scottish accent and lots of profanity

I’m from the USA. I did struggle a lot with understanding the heavy Scottish accent. I’m not sure if it is normal in that country for profanity to be the main words in every sentence. I found it very distracting.
There were good things in the story.
But I had a hard time with the narrator as well, as the volume went up and down; too loud and then not loud enough.
I will not be pursuing any more of the books from this writer for the above stated reasons.

Charming Murder Mystery

Great characters and story line. I have a connection with Eileen Donan castle so had to read this. It is an enchanting book that adds a touch of humor with it’s sometimes wacky characters that are always likable. You will not regret reading this book.
