Leo & Giselle

The heart wants what the heart wants. When Giselle and Leo meet, they know they are only in for the short haul. Leo is a military doctor and Giselle a princess, soon to become Queen. But they didn't realize the depth of their feelings. A year after their short encounters, they have the chance to solidify their love. But will it be allowed? Leo is not royal blood! Will love prevail? This is a fun listen, with wonderful characters. Giselle is spunky, lovable and smart. Her loyalty to the throne is commendable, but I love that she thinks for herself and isn't afraid to speak up. Leo is the perfect man, if there is one. He's got the conscience that will always do what he can to help, and his love of Giselle is uncompromising. It's a beautiful story with some humor, some steam and lovable characters.

Addison Barnes adds to the story with her variety of voices and ability to let us in on the feelings of the characters. She uses her voices and inflections to give us the frustration, loneliness and love. I enjoyed her performance.

I enjoyed the story. some was predictable but still good. The narrator was very good at distinguishing between the voices. I enjoyed the listening.

Great Story!

This was a great story that I really enjoyed listening to. At it's base it's a doctor/patient love story, but with Giselle being a princess and Leo a Navy doctor, it just adds that little bit more. They first meet when the princess and her father have to flee a neighboring country when it gets attacked and they seek shelter about the Navy vessel that Leo serves on for passage home. Instantly drawn to each other, they quickly give into their desires and carry on a secret relationship until they are discovered. Forced to separate when they reach home, neither forgets the other as life goes on. Their feelings are still there a year later when they meet again and both of them are determined to break from tradition and expectations and be together. Both sweet and hot this was a very enjoyable story.
The narrator does a fantastic job brings the story and characters to life as well as using different voices for the characters. It's set at a great pace and is full of emotion and animation also.

It's not easy being a princess.

This is the story of Dr. Leo and Princess Giselle. It's not easy falling for a princess. It's not easy for a princess to fall for anyone! A well written, well told (I listened to Audible version) sweet royal story. Very entertaining.
The narrator sounded like a perfect princess. But some of her male voices were somewhat "squirrely."

Amazing Forbidden Romance.

This story was amazing I absolutely loved it. Leo and Giselle make a great couple and they have amazing chemistry. Throw in a few challenges and you cant stop listen.

I loved it!

Having been someone who’s always love nonfiction books about aliens crypto science ATC I received a royal audiobook for three a while back and read it I have been obsessed with Mckenna James books ever cents. It is a four cry from the books are usually like but there is a difference between those books I like and the Royal Siri‘s which I love. That’s something so innocent and rejuvenating about reading hey sweet Mckenna James Royal love story that just makes my day. I get so excited when a new one comes out. I always thought romance books were cheesy and not worth reading, but to make myself feel better I don’t put McCanna James books in that category that something I’ll to this self and I love them!

She's the future Queen

This is a heart felt romance about a woman that will one day rule as Queen and the Navy doctor she is falling in love with.
She is Royal and he is a commoner, even in these modern times it isn't what's done.
Standalone with no cliffhangers

Entertaining story

This is my first book by this author and I definitely like her writing style. I also really liked the characters of Giselle and Leo and enjoyed their story very much. The forbidden aspect of Giselle being a princess and Leo a navy physician when they meet, adds to the allure of the story for sure. There is definitely chemistry as well as a clear attraction from the beginning but they have to navigate some pretty complicated waters. It is not a simple road to HEA for these two complex characters.
The narration was good in the sense that her voice is easy on the ears, but I am not really a fan of a female narrator doing a dual POV as both the man and the woman. I would have preferred the story be told in just her point of view and she could still do the male voice but not for a whole chapter. It was just odd to me.
I do intend to check out more of this author's books, just maybe will read instead.

Her heart leads her to the man she loves, and his admiration for the strong princess leaves him empty when duty becomes first. wonderful characters, sweet love story that entails and engages. the narrator is really good bringing the characters to life with strong personalities.
