Hell for the Holidays

Christopher Miller is up against a group of domestic terrorists who are copying Al Qaeda's tactics: operating in cells, following a twisted fundamentalist doctrine, targeting "public amusements". A White Supremacist hate group has smuggled in a stinger missile and recruited an army marksman: a nightmare vision of a new and more talented Timothy McVeigh. The White Wolves have chosen Thanksgiving as the day to strike, since they feel the holiday commemorates God giving of this country to his chosen people: the white man. Meanwhile, on the home front, Miller has to cope with his daughter's post traumatic stress as the anniversary of her Christmas nightmare draws near and he will be torn between taking care of her and saving thousands of innocent lives!

Great thriller!

As a fan of the John Ceepak mysteries, I didn't know if I'd take to Grabenstein's newest hero, but this is a terrific book. It doesn't have the humor and light tone of the Ceepak series, but it is a gripping thriller.

Good story, and relevant for our times!

This is a very good story from the author of the excellent "John Ceepak" mysteries (start with TILT-A-WHIRL). To me, it's a believable terrorist plot that's very relevant for our times! For the investigators and the terrorists the story takes unexpected turns. If you like Alex Cross you'll love Christopher Miller, the FBI agent who's out to thwart these terrorists without deserting his family during the Christmas holidays.

Enjoying this series

I usually don’t post reviews but having listened to the first of FBI Miller, I really thought this would be a new series to enjoy after the Cepak series. It’s great, however, the overuse of racial slurs tend to be a bit much in each book I’ve listened to which becomes a real turn-off. Hopefully as the character develops into another, James Patterson-Dr.Cross character, the storylines won’t be so racially insensitive.

Another great thriller by Chris Grabenstein.

Like the first book in the Christopher Miller Series “Hell for the Holidays” is a hard violent and no holds bars thriller. Not for the faint of heart the author provides the reader with a non-stop thriller that is violent and dark. If you’re looking for something that will keep you on the edge of the seat with a splash of Thanksgiving mixed in. Grab this book and hold on.

Mr. Rummel does a great job as always with the narration.

It took me awhile to adjust to the different narrator but the book was excellent. Can't wait for more Chris Grabenstein books.

If you like his other books, which I did immensely, you are going to be disappointed in this production. Slow story, bad plot, no humor. Skip it, but check out his other books.
