In the not-too-distant future, tools will become beings in their own right. Factory floors will be the womb of an entire people. Androids will struggle to exist alongside the lesser gods who created them, even as they surpass us.

Clear and disturbing vision of the future.
The best scifi is the sort that subtly wags a finger at the direction in which we are headed as a society and species. It shows us that history can and does repeat itself in ways that we are often to intimately entangled with to see. This was such a thoughtful deepdive into the complex question of what it means to be.
Really good author narration. I will most definitely buy more of this authors work.
