Healing the Mind is a hypnotist and hypnotherapist's guide to how and why through suggestion and imagination the mind is a power tool for assisted and self-healing for mental-related issues. For mental health practitioners, such as psychologists, licensed counselors, psychiatrists, social workers, it provides an explanation how a person's neurology can be used to facilitated health. Although this book is not intended for the general public, such listeners can also benefit by understanding the nature of healing even though it should not be used as a substitute for professional mental health care.
Based upon the Neurology of Suggestion concepts and fortified with a substantial body of clinical research, this book provides a concise, practical approach that merges ancient wisdom, contemporary mental health practice, and innovative ideas being explored in the realm of mind/body practices and even artificial intelligence. The goal of this book is for the reader to use this new paradigm to become more effective in the healing process.
The Neurology of Suggestion concepts and Advanced Neuro-Noetic HypnosisTM was developed by Dr. Tim Brunson, the founder of The International Hypnosis Research Institute. Dr. Brunson has received certifications from several international hypnotherapy organizations, has extensive experience in the field, is a Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) instructor, and has taught clinicians internationally.
