Touching story

This is a great story. It’s a clean romance about the nightmare of suicide, abuse and one woman dealing with the aftermath. It’s a story that grabs you and makes you continue reading without stopping.

true healing

I believe the author did an amazing job handling a possibly triggering subject matter. Skye suffered great abuse as a child and still lives with the memories and results. Pete has suffered the loss of his wife and still suffers from that loss. Their first meeting brings them together rather quickly. I loved how these two learned how to put their trust more and more in the Lord and experience true healing. Loved her adopted mom and his mom. Not an instant relationship which I truly liked. Great ending. I listened to this book on audible. Loved the narrator's voice for Skye. Did a great job of switching voices.

An absolutely amazing story of healing.

This is the first book I have listened to by this author and narrator and I have to say together they have given us a story that will touch your heart ❤️. Skye is a beautiful young woman who has had to deal with many heartbreaking situations that she feels she must hide inside. After all who would want anything to do with someone that has such secrets. Pete has also been through a terrible blow that has left him as a charter boat captain trying to make a living for him and his young daughter. I found the characters so easy to care about especially the young girls Sparrow and Pete's daughter. The information about the wildlife that is natural to Florida and Alabama was very interesting to find out about. A really great book that I would definitely recommend.
