Een nieuwe feelgoodroman die zich afspeelt tussen de glooiende Ierse heuvels.
Er is geen betere plek om te wonen dan op het betoverende Magnus Estate in Ierland. Tenminste, voor Julia, die het landgoed draaiende houdt. Haar oude cottage ligt samen met de net gerenoveerde vakantiewoningen aan een schilderachtig meer, haar collega's zijn haar vrienden geworden en ze geniet van het buitenleven. Zo kan ze – al is het maar tijdelijk – haar lot uit de weg gaan: de fabriek van haar ouders overnemen in het kleurloze dorp in Nederland waar ze is opgegroeid.
Als de eerste gast zich aanmeldt voor de luxe cottages, is ze dan ook dik tevreden. Totdat hij voor haar neus staat en ze hem herkent. Scott Manswell, een norse rockster die in alle roddelbladen staat. En nooit met positief nieuws. Net die persoon die waarschijnlijk geen enkele waardering heeft voor de prachtige natuur, de biologische moestuin en de gekoesterde scharrelvarkens in het bos. Het kost Julia alles wat ze in zich heeft om in haar rol van beleefde gastvrouw te blijven. Gelukkig verschijnt ineens de knappe zoon van de eigenaresse om de zaken op het landgoed over te nemen, zijn charmes op haar los te laten en haar aandacht af te leiden.
