Hard Rain - Montana Hamiltons Series
The narrator did a wonderful job.
In this story, the author showed that people will believe what they want, whether or not it is the truth. The way that the townspeople had no problem slandering another was very well done. I do not like stories that deal with violence against women so this was hard to read but the author provided a realistic take on how victims get blamed and shamed for what happens to them. When the lack of compassion comes from women, it is really heartbreaking.
I did enjoy the continuing saga of Sheriff Frank Curry. He was my favorite character in the Beartooth, Montana series so I am pleased he is in this series as well.
