Acerca de esta escucha

It starts off so simply: Jack is hanging out in Julio's bar when a regular named Timmy asks him for help. His teenage niece has been missing since this morning; the police say it’s too early to worry, but Timmy knows something bad has happened. Jack says he'll put the word out on the street. This innocent request triggers a chain of seemingly coincidental events that lead Jack into the darkest days of his life.Jack is desperate...and the last thing you want to do is make Jack desperate. That's when things begin to blow up and people begin to die.

Harbingers is a hang-onto-your-hat-and-heart thriller of triumph and tragedy that barrels along at F. Paul Wilson’s trademark breakneck pace.

This series is still fast paced and just as interesting as the first. Listening to these back to back is a breeze and a pleasure.

Repairman Jack is still the best!

What did you love best about Harbingers?

I have read all the Repairman Jack Novels by F. Paul Wilson. What I love about listening to them is the performance by the narrator CHRISTOPHER PRICE. The early releases of the RMJ novels The Tomb, Bloodline and By The Sword had a horrible narrator; but all the RMJ releases with the narrator of Christopher Price are simply awesome. Have purchased them all. Keep an coming.

CHRISTOPHER PRICE DOES JUSTICE TO THE RMJ NOVELS!

I love the continued storyline of Repairman Jack, and I’m thoroughly enjoying this series. Normally I also love Christopher Price’s narrations of the books in this series. However, in several past books it is specifically mentioned that a a character has a last name that is not pronounced how it looks when you read it. His name is Russ Tuit, but rather than being pronounced “Too-it,” like it would appear, it is supposed to be pronounced like “tweet.” This may seem like an insignificant detail, and honestly, it is, but when you’re listening to an audiobook, it’s fairly obvious that the narration is crucial for the experience. In this book, the narrator pronounces it incorrectly several times, and as silly as it is, I noticed myself being immediately pulled out of the story, and feeling like shouting “TWEET!” whenever he mispronounced the name.
I don’t fault Price for this though. If I were a professional voice actor, narrating a large number of different books over time, and reading each book just once, I probably wouldn’t have remembered that detail either. So I think the fault lies with the people in charge of the scripts and recordings, as well as the direction given to Price.
Either way, I would still listen to this audiobook again, as well as the others in the series, and I still respect Price and enjoy his narrating style, please forgive my ranting about one particular gripe.

Narrator pronouncing a name wrong threw me off
