To answer that question, author and editor Anastasia Ormeron goes back more than 30 years—when, during a trip to Tokyo, a beautiful bronze statue of a dog caught her attention outside Shibuya railway station.
As she looked closer and met Hachiko’s wistful gaze, she knew she would never forget him or his tale. There is something magical about Japan’s most famous and faithful Akita Inu that touches hearts and changes lives.
