Acerca de esta escucha
What every parent wants most is for their children to grow into happy, healthy humans, which sounds pretty simple, but the reality is that there’s an epidemic of mental ill-health among adolescents and adults. There is no one perfect way to be a parent, but there are steps that you can put in place to create young people who know how to make the most out of their lives. Dr Tim Sharp, Dr Happy, introduces you to the simple daily habits that will help you create an environment that fosters growth and happiness for you and your kids.
Dr Tim Sharp is a clinical and consulting psychologist with three degrees in psychology and a distinguished career over several decades. He’s Australia’s very own 'Dr Happy' and the founder of The Happiness Institute.

Didn’t Expect to Learn As Much As I Did
Dr. Sharp’s recommendations were presented logically, so while many of them were “common sense” ideas, he worded them in such a way that created epiphanies. I especially enjoyed hearing his solutions to every day issues.

Helpful and optimistic!
I loved this series . Found it helpful with parenting questions and challenges. Clear, simple and the tone was optimistic . Dr Sharp is an engaging narrator, too.

"Habits" is not the same as "Good ideas"
In the title and throughout the book, the term "habit" is misused to refer to good concepts to apply, somehow, in order to improve family life in one way or another. Ie., "talk to your children about strengths and positively reinforce their strengths" is a good idea, yes, but it isn't a habit.
Habits are concrete, discrete acts built into routines through endless repetition. I'm almost through chapter 2 and, despite the author referring to more than 20 "habits" per chapter, I have yet to encounter any actual habits. In fat there's been no discussion of habits at all.
There are undoubtedly good ideas here, but the initial promise and draw was immediately broken.

laughable
This was the most ridiculous explanation of sex and relationships I've ever heard. The narrator didn't help.
