Grog is a brute (half Human, half Ukar) slave raised from birth to fight in the pits for the entertainment of the crowds. He is content with his role in the city, proud of his barracks, and in awe of his owner, the sour Master Horne. Life, by Grog's reckoning, is good. Unique perspective in the fantasy genre
I’ve really enjoyed this perspective. The brute who accompanies and protects point of view is really refreshing. His simplistic views of things were really well written.

loved the point of view of Grog
Good entertaining story. I loved being introduced to Grogs world through his eyes and world concept. This book left me wanting the sequel.

A Very Pleasant Surpriss
The narrator does a great job on this, providing a voice for the protagonist that carries throughout the whole book in the prose. Grog is an interesting and thought-provoking read, as well. The entire thing is an interpersonal character study with its own living, breathing world to explore.
Top-tier indie novel, and the audiobook makes the whole experience even better.

Great classic fantasy! Fun and funny. Like a good D&D adventure. Great characters. Quick plot that actually goes somewhere. Has the feel of the classic pulp magazine stories you’d find in Adventure or Amazing Stories back in the golden age!

love the book. really fun point of view
it's a good book. I hope that the sequel keeps exploring Grogs enlightenment. Hearing him come to terms with the world and seeing his perspective change is very entertaining
