The creativity is absolutely astonishing. Engaging from start to finish.

I love how something growing up has always been the biggest fear for me. I couldn't afford the shoes that everyone was wearing and was always clowned on for wearing something that was not on fleek. like seriously this issue is bigger then anybody can even understand, I have been bullied and clowned on my entire childhood for many reasons but the outer appearance is the only thing I can give someone before they truly took the time to get to know me. This author brought me peace and comfort especially in this time where society is always materialistic first but the relevance and the ability to clearly understand the messages is big because anybody of any age can read this book and go AAAH I got it. Blessings to the Tommy and anyone who reads this book.

Powerful storytelling! Beautiful insight!

I’m confident the book is great on its own, but hearing the author read it, adding the extra jokes and insight made me glad I had the audio. I’m a sneaker head and this book was spot on! Creative idea! 5 Stars!

Practical & Relatable

Pastor Tommy does an amazing job in using something practical that we interface with everyday, painting a picture and relating it to biblical foundational truths. The storytelling draws you in, Its easy to understand and follow. Gotta be the shoes is a book that bridges the gap between the culture and faith. The audio version is in Pastor Tommy's voice so it feels a little more personable as of we're having a conversation or im hearing him teach. I highly recommend purchasing and listening to this book Gotta Be the Shoes. Its easy to grasp, understand and apply.

This book is definitely something different.
If you’re somebody who loves sneakers or you’re somebody who’s looking to get closer in your walk in faith or you’re simply trying to do better this book is for you. Full transparency from the author and a very creative approach.

Shoe game with a Faith walk!

"Gotta Be Da shoes " Such a clever way to tie/lace the teachings of the gospel to modern time without losing the truth in the message. Having the fear of God does not mean HE is no fun. This audiobook reminded me that this walk with Christ does not have to be stifling or boring, but relatable, fun, and informative all at once. I pressed play and had no need to pause or stop, it holds your attention all the way through. Thanks for the prayers. Your way of teaching is appreciated and so needed .

Gotta Be Da Shoes - Clear and concise

Tommy K. is a great communicator and does a great job in bridging the gap between shoe culture/enthusiast and church. Each chapter of the book brings about a constant flow of parallels and imagery. In this book, there is a great telling of history and brings ups to a place of questioning where we’re at now. This book should be in the hands of every shoe head and those who often think of spirituality.

If you want to witness how a transcending concept that intertwines sneaker culture with faith, then you want to give this a listen. What I enjoyed the most is how this seemed to have more of a conversational approach versus the traditional word-for-word verbatim reading that we may be accustomed to. I highly recommend this captivating masterpiece.
