Acerca de esta escucha

Prepare for an electrifying jolt with Gospel Zero: A Radical Plan to Reset Christianity by Andrew Farley and John Lynch.

This book is a rebellious rallying cry against the mundane and mediocre that have hijacked true faith. Farley and Lynch take on the voice of God’s modern-day messengers to dispatch fiery letters to the Church of today, calling for a revolution back to the radical grace of God.

With biting wit and unapologetic candor, Gospel Zero takes a sledgehammer to the idols of legalism and lifeless religion. The authors argue with the fervor of the ancient apostles yet speak directly to the 21st-century believer, calling us to awaken from our doctrinal drowsiness and rediscover the untamed Gospel of grace.

This book will infuriate and inspire, provoke and empower. It’s packed with challenges that dare you to rethink everything you thought you knew about Christianity. Whether you are a disillusioned churchgoer, a seeker of truth, or somewhere in between, Farley and Lynch offer a transformative vision of what Christianity could and should be.

Buckle up for a wild ride through Gospel Zero. It’s time to peel away the suffocating layers of religiosity and unveil a Gospel that truly dazzles and transforms.

This book cuts through the religion and goes straight to Jesus. He shows you how Christ honestly loves you and paid the full price for your trip back to Eden. I have been raised in legalism and I see now how that has damaged so many people including me. This book does not give you free range to go your own way and hurt others. This book leads you to a relationship with Christ. Well worth the read or listen more than once.

I have read most all of Andrew's books and this one is pretty unique in the fact that this is written as if the apostles wrote letters to today's church's. There's humor, there's criticism, but most of all there's a simple message of hope and love.

I have followed Andronicus and Johannes, ahem, I mean, Andrew and John for sometime now and in this book, we have a continuation of the gospel truth in Christ Jesus. In some ways this book paralleled a book that Andrew Farley wrote, “Twisted Scriptures”. Both books took the truth of the gospel and presented the word of God from a proper context, so that the truth of God’s word would be correctly represented as he intended it to be. Thank you, Andrew, Farley, and John Lynch!

There is no more important message than those put forward in this book. Christianity in the mind of most believers and nonbelievers is completely distorted. The wisdom from the authors flows to correct all of these errors. Christos Anesti!

Most important book for Christians today

I was not a fan of this book. First I really didn’t like the sarcasm and “come on folks” as if the readers didn’t know any better. There’s a better way to write about the topic. I understand why the book was written. I think that it’s important to know that we are free in Christ! However, I feel this book teter totters on the cheap grace and free grace concept. He does address it in his book that this not what it is. But he mentioned it like two times in the entire book and from everything else he says it all feels like we can live however we want. I agree we are free in Christ. Christ died once and for all. But we are to work out our salvation in fear and trembling. Not to be in bondage but to live it out and be a testimony to the world of what Christ has done and His work in you.

I would recommend this book to anyone who does struggle with living under a set of rules to get to closer to God. This will help get you away from the rules. But the reader be careful to not swing too far to the other side. We are required to live different than the world and we are reasonable for how we live. We do so in the power of the Spirit.

Also, I must say again the sarcasm and derogatory speech I feel is unnecessary. You don’t need to talk to people like this to get your point across.

Very snarky
