Auf der Fahrt zum nächsten Rummelplatz schlägt Geistermädchen Mimi eine Abkürzung mitten durch einen Wald vor. Doch kaum haben die Fahrzeuge den Waldrand passiert, bricht die Verbindung zu Mimi ab, Welfs Auto verliert einen Reifen und der Truck mit Anhänger landet im Straßengraben. Als Tom versucht, zu Fuß zu der Stelle zurück zu gehen, wo er das letzte Mal Kontakt zu Mimi hatte, muss er bald feststellen, dass das seltsamerweise nicht möglich ist: Ohne es zu wollen läuft Tom immer im Kreis und kommt dort wieder an, wo er losgelaufen ist! Vlarad ist überzeugt: Dies ist kein gewöhnlicher Wald und etwas mächtiges sorgt dafür, dass sie alle diesen Ort vielleicht nie wieder verlassen werden...
