Did Not Finish - what the heck?

I can't even with this book. I tried skipping through it to see if the two M/M characters ended up together. As far as I can tell, this is not a HEA story. The entire thing was about the main character's downfall and everything crumbling. The other male character was only around for a few chapters. So disappointed.
