Eigentlich hat sich die kleine Hexe Zuckerguss auf einen ruhigen Urlaub am Meer gefreut. Im Süden, weit entfernt von ihrer Schwester Pumpernickel. Als die im letzten Moment doch mitkommt, läuft alles anders als geplant. Zuckerguss' Besen fällt in den Fluss und schwimmt davon, und die beiden reisen ihm auf einer abenteuerlichen Fahrt in Richtung Norden hinterher. Dann sorgt Pumpernickel auch noch dafür, dass Hexen in diesem Urlaub bestraft wird: Wer hext, der fällt ins Wasser. Ein nasses Vergnügen für die wasserscheue Hexe Zuckerguss, denn wie anders als mit Hexerei soll sie ihre übermütige Schwester vor immer neuen Unglücken bewahren?
