Pregnant Laura needs a friend~ Gabriel~ 4 STARS~

PLOT: on the run pregnant Laura.....runs into a blizzard and hermit HUNK Gabriel.

Laura is on the run and pregnant. She ends up in a blizzard and in the ditch. Along comes Gabriel who takes her back to his cabin. Gabriel is an artist who is bitter and has his own demons. He finds Laura both beautiful and he becomes the friend she so desperately needs. While the snow flies Gabriel draws and paints the stunningly beautiful Laura. She is a widow and on the run from wealthy in laws who threaten to "take her unborn child away from her"...Laura and Gabriel end up married as a solution for them both. She needs him to fend of the nasty in laws and she inspires him to paint. a VERY early Nora Roberts. a sweet story and holds up over time. The reader is very good and over all I give it 4 STARS.

Incredibly heartfelt

Loved this book. Easy read (listen). Couldn’t stop it. Stayed up to all hours didn’t want to put it down.

Good book

The narrator was good, and the story nice. A love story with a nice end

Not that impressed...

Story was good and made me listen. But I hoped for a bigger battle with the eagletons. Narrator wasn't the best. I was a bit bored because of the lack of excitement. The book would have been so much better if there was more of it and the battle should have been what we all had waited for. But nothing happened. They just talked it out...

Sweet romance. Excellent narration.

Although some of the story was dated, it is a sweet, well-written, satisfying romance.
The narration was outstanding, with all of the characters' voices being easily distinguished from each other. The female voices were especially well done.

Easy Listening, Captivating Story

The story pulls you in and calls you back over and over again. Keeping up with the time frame is a little difficult and sometimes the voices are too similar to know who is speaking but overall a good story to get lost in for a few hours.

Gabe is Great Hero!

4.5 stars ⭐️ Laura, pregnant and on the run from an abusive situation, crashes into Gabe. He brings her home as they were stuck in a blizzard in the Colorado mountains. As an artist, Gabe found Laura physically appealing. As they got to know each other, they fell in love before they fell in bed. Gabe married Laura to protect her and their baby. He did not see her baby as anything but his! They fought together to stay together. I enjoyed this standalone!
