She gained a reputation for crying often on television and smearing her abundant mascara. Their empire crumbled when Jim Bakker was convicted of bilking followers out of millions of dollars. She survived the scandal, the divorce, as well as cancer and drug addiction and wrote about it in her memoir, I Will Survive: And You Will, Too! She's also starring in the new reality show on the WB network, Surreal Life 2. Record executive Simon Cowell is one of the judges on the talent show, American Idol, a spin-off of the show he co-created in Britian, Pop Idol. The show has made him famous for his brutally frank criticism. Cowell has spent 25 years in the music industry and currently with BMG. His new book is Simon Cowell: I Don't Mean to Be Rude, but...
