Happily Recommend!!

A great way to improve your French grammar and vocabulary. The narrator is very animated and enunciates each word very clearly, and the PDF is very handy to link what you're hearing with a written word if you're a visual learner. Five stars for me :) Disclaimer: I was given this book free at my request in exchange for my honest review.

Solidified my French comprehension

Although I wasn't able to understand every single word, I was amazed how much I actually did pick up on. As a self taught person who is trying to learn french, I found the short story approach very interesting, since it allowed me to get a context for the new words, and the vocabulary recap was really hepful. I credit the narrator for taking a seemingly boring educational task and making it fun!

French learning

I'm very pleased to find this version to learn French at home. This audiobook is an excelent version for self learners like me that need to practice listening and speaking French at the convenience of their home. These tales do make for a great listen while I'm on the road and want to squeeze some French in. I have only been learning French for a few months and when I heard about this book I was excited to give it a try!

Nice French learning tool

I like the vocabulary reviews and summaries of the stories. I think it will be better to review the vocabulary first, then attempt to listen to the words in context. I have been trying to become fluent in French for years. I studied it all throughout high school and two semesters in college, but I still have never felt like I 'got' it. This audiobook was perfect for me. I walk for about half an hour to work, so this is perfect to listen to during my commute. My confidence speaking has dramatically improved because I can hear the proper pronunciation thanks to the quality narrator.

Great Language Learning Format

The stories and the pace of the narration is perfect for a novice like me to pick up the basics again. Brushing up on the correct conjugations and pronunciations of a language that I have not spoken in over a decade was almost second nature with this book. This was a wonderful refresher. I wasn't sure how easily I'd be able to follow the stories after years without practice, but the style of this book was very easy to follow. At times the narrator paused, especially in the vocabulary sections to reinforce the meaning. Tremendously helpful - Give it a shot.

Well done

Just listening to these stories reminded me of when I was a small child. The narrator animated and makes it a lot of fun to listen to. Several good life lessons mixed in with French langauge learning lessons. Two thumbs up.

This beginner French audiobook isn't terrible

Attention: Don't get this audiobook if you DON'T want to learn French. In all honesty, Touri did a great job and I look forward to more of their French learning content.

A wonderful way to step up your French

I definitely recomend this audiobook for those who have a basic understanding of the French language and want to improve their listening skills. The stories are quite helpful with the conversational language - it helped me with several key phrases that I would commonly use in everyday speech. Reaching conversational fluency has been my goal and these stories certainly helped me with that. So when speaking French out loud with the help of the companion document I was able to improve my pronunciation.

Interesting way to learn a language

Decent French learning material. I work in the hospitality industry and Canada is very closeby, which means French speaking families visit and tour our area quite frequently. so knowing how to speak a customers native language is a huge bonus when working for tips. With such a hectic schedule, these easy to consume shot stories are perfect on the go.. The narrator is pretty good and the PDF it comes with is perfect to follow along.

I love learning French

I still remember a ton of French prior to listening to this audiobook, however it was a nice refresher. French is just a beautiful language.This French audiobook has definitely helped me sharpen up my French speaking skills. It's been a while since went over my French knowledge. Definitely helps when the narrator is calm and enthusiastic at just the right moments throughout the stories. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has taken French or who wants to learn French. It is very easy to follow and can fit into anyone’s busy schedule.
