Risk it All for Love!

Frankie went straight-through the fire for the love of his man Aaron. Talk about second chances. Frankie and Aaron's story took it to a whole nother level. And through it all Aaron prove to Frankie the risk was well worth it. I'm telling you their story is inspiring. The narrator did an excellent job with the different voices of each character in this story. I was blown away as if I was listening to a Broadway Play. I highly recommend their story. You will not be disappointed. ENJOY!

Second chance romance like no other!

I originally read this book in 2018 and then listened to the audio in 2022 because I think of this book ALL the time and I love the narrator, Kale Williams. This book remains 5 stars and I think I love it even more the second time around.

I’ve never read a second chance story like this one. Frankie and Aaron have always had a hot and heavy relationship, and it’s clear they love each other, but everything else about their relationship was pretty toxic. Add in Aaron’s anger issues and things are explosive. When the book starts, Aaron is out of jail (for assault, but not against Frankie) and truly trying to turn his life around. It’s not an easy journey, but he’s going to therapy for himself and as a couple, and avoiding the things that set him off before. And these two work hard to communicate even when it’s hard or they want to fall back on old habits. I especially loved how fiercely Frankie fights for his family to accept Aaron and see the man that Frankie knows and loves. It takes time for Aaron to start trusting and being vulnerable with other people outside of Frankie, and that part of the story felt really authentic. I just loved everything about this story and how it highlighted how difficult it can be to change one’s circumstances and break out of vicious cycles. Highly recommend!

I’m glad I grabbed the audio because I’ll be listening to this over and over. Love it! Kale’s accents for Frankie and Aaron are perfect, especially Frankie’s. (A friend pointed out that he sounds like Dutch from TikTok and he totally does!) I had a lot of fun listening to the narration and will continue to grab Kale’s audios.

Color me surprised

I really like how this story turned out. I have to admit that in the second book Rhodes when I heard that Frankie's boyfriend Aaron was released from prison I was skeptical of him wanting to immediately get a hold of Frankie. I'm ashamed to admit that I too thought that Frankie giving Aaron a second chance was naive and foolish. so often in fictional romance the outcome is that Aaron's type of character doesn't change. I just knew that in Frankie's book it was going to be about how badly it turned out with Aaron and him finding a new love. I'm so happy you showed that some people do deserve a second chance and everything can turn out well.
