Unexpected find!

I'm normally a fantasy/romance reader, though I do lean heavily towards darker tropes and prefer the romance to be in the background instead of the focus of the whole plot. This came as a random Booktok recommendation and I'm so glad I checked it outpaced! I was fully sucked in from the first chapter. The suspense in this book had me on the edge of my seat almost the entire time. I loved it from beginning to end and would recommend to fans of thrillers to fantasy to sci-fi and everything in between.

thoroughly entertaining

A bit fantastical but entertaining nonetheless. This is my first audiobook with multiple narrators. trying to decide if I like it...

An exciting look into the vast importance of maintaining one’s integrity

This book had me interested, excited, and laughing at appropriate times. The clever strategies and daring-do of the protagonist kept my interest and had me wanting more. There are some important lessons as well in this work that are presented in an impactful and true manner that doesn’t feel dry and had me introspecting about the true importance of maintaining one’s integrity despite all apparent reasons not to. And even though there may have been times my integrity went out, it’s not the end. There’s always a way to restore one’s value of self!

I do feel it would have been better if it was all just Heath Miller as the performer. I get why there were multiple people, but he’s of my favorites, so maybe I’m biased :)

Interesting story that keeps you going the whole way.

From my Australian background, it’s a Classic. Very well compiled Story that I loved. The story itself really kept me going and was not predictable and kept me thinking the whole way. I want to see this as a Movie!

What an intense ride!

I thoroughly enjoyed the world building and chapter structure of this book. Allowed me to appreciate the viewpoint of each character as they were experiencing the events while they unfolded. Great concepts and I loved how the action and science were based in reality. Didn’t feel like there was any fat to trim on this one. What’s up with five leaf?

"Could not put it down"

It's funny to say that about an audiobook, but it's the only thing that appropriately describes it. I have recently been listening to a lot of audiobooks and this one markedly stood out. There was always something going on in the story that kept pulling me forward. The characters were fascinating, and the plot was strong. I just never knew I could have this much fun listening to audiobooks.

Crazy fun, crazy adventurous.

Top level story telling. With a refreshing level of morality. Thank you for this treat Mr. Russell.
