Another lovely story from Emmanuelle de Maupassant
This is a wonderful erotic love story with a twist. Gareth J Davies does an amazing job with the narration. I love all of the books written by Emmanuelle de Maupassant. If you love very steamy, hot historical romance, this is for you.

I usually enjoy books written by Emmanuelle de Maupassant. This one wasn't for me. If you like women in control over a man, and mostly erotica (vs a mysterious storyline like I'm accustomed to from this author) this might be a five star for you. I did remind myself that this is a beginning of series, book one of three.
Gareth J Davies is a great narrator. He has once again taken me to a world I see in my head through his narration. It is unique and well done.

Steamy!
How refreshing to read, or in my case, listen to a historical story in which a woman of nobility takes charge of her own sexuality. This won't be a story for everyone, but if you like your FMCs strong, you like open bedroom, and other places doors, I believe you too will enjoy this story. Oh! And I do love Garreth Davis narrating! Off to the next one!

Wonderful book to read and listen
In a few words, unexpected story, gothic, forbidden desires, secret rebellion, headstrong heroine, humoristic part. Very well written.
The performance of the narrator is wonderful, as expected. I very much enjoyed this audiobook and I am looking forward to part two of this trilogy.

Well okay
As the start of a series, this was cool. it sets the stage and was a complete dose of erotica with a Gothic edge. Definitely gets the imagination going. Not a hearts and flowers romance but appears to be the foundation for more.
