Fun Life Story with Mind Blown Lessons

Mike invites us into his life of adventures, his band's early years, married life and so on. With this biography comes some Biblical lessons and insight along with wisdom he's gathered from leaders before him. It's a good read for any Christian, especially worship teams.

Absolutely wonderful

I have always thought that Mike was really well spoken. I listen to his videos on YouTube to this day for a dose of encouragement and as a reminder about what life is really about. This book made me laugh and cry. It made me realize things about my own spiritual journey that I hadn’t noticed. It’s worth every penny spent and more.
If you are looking for a book that helps guide your understanding of what God wants from us, without feeling stiff and preachy, this is the book for you!

This Book Can Change Your Life

I loved this book. It condenses the Bible down to the simple truth that the whole point is abiding in Christ: not necessarily some big job like being a pastor, or going into the mission field. Those are good things but we can bring the Kingdom of God wherever we go as long as we abide in Him and do His will. Surrender is the name of the game. As we do we become more filled with and more like Him. As Dallas Willard said, “it’s not what you do that is important, it’s who you become because that’s what you will take with you into the kingdom.”

Great book

Really helped me in my everyday walk with Christ. So helpful to be reminded how important humility is.

The author’s humor in sharing real life and relationship with God.

This book meant so much to me in my relationship with God. Especially the topic about performance. As an artist myself, I had to ask myself the questions the author was raising and putting on the table.
This was SO necessary and so encouraging and freeing! Thank you so so much for your obedience in writing this book. I also loved it that the author read his own audiobook.

I loved it so much I ordered the book to read again and go back to time and again.

Finding the deep in the shallows

Mike does a great job of reading and using inflection at just the right moment without being overly dramatic. I found myself wishing the end was farther away. Even before finishing, I've already been recommending this book to others and bought a copy for my adult son. Because I want to solidify several of the concepts further, tomorrow I'll start listening again.

Beautifully crafted

This is an amazing book that made me cry and laugh but most of all made me rethink my relationship with God. It helped me realize that I need to build my relationship with God so that I can hear His voice.

Focused and Well Done

Life changing because the story is beautifully intertwined with God's Word and truth. The focused is not on how awesome Mike is our how awesome the band is. It is focused on God's character and His love and the wonderful, amazing truths that apply to ALL of us. Absolutely beautiful.

Loved this book! The simple truth of His plan in my life and the way to follow Him in all areas. A great read for all ages and stages of life. I bought 4 hard copies as gifts for my kids, but I’m keeping one to go back through take notes in. ❤️

The title itself sparks enough curiosity to want a peak inside this book and the mind of Mike who wrote it. You will find humor in this book along with wisdom that will make you stop for a moment and check what your ideas are. In a world of influence and leadership this book questions all of it. The motivation, application, mindset and title. I only wish I had this book when I was in a leadership position at a church. While I was being encouraged to read all those leadership books you see and hear about this one would have knocked those books out of the water and changed the way I do my job. Finding God’s Life for My Will is a great book for anyone looking to better themselves and those around you. Mike Donehey is so wise and we could use more people like him to influence the world.
