Gun Årestad, (f. 1930), är en svensk författarinna och tidigare redaktör för tidningen Femina. Hon var som författarinna verksam mellan åren 1966–1990 och skrev över 30 skönlitterära verk, vilka många har översatts till flera språk. En betydlig del av hennes verk ingick vid första publicering i B. Wahlströms skriftserie Månadens roman, en serie som innefattade ett flertal författare med den gemensamma tematiken av kärlek och nära relationer. Årestad behandlar ofta ämnen som kärlek, relationer och vänskap iscensatta med allt från en igenkännande realism till en medryckande dramatik.
