Still Have Questions

I started this series recently. The first book was okay, but not as tightly written as I like them. But I thought I'd give the series another try since they often evolve. False Summit is the second book in the Tyler Zahn series, and I still don't have a warm fuzzy about this series, though it's hard to pinpoint why.

I still find the plot points a bit loosely written. Protagonist Tyler Zahn seems like a great character, but there is so much info about him that is kept out of reach for readers that after two books I still know very little about him. Secondary characters don't seem to have a lot of depth, although we certainly did learn a lot more about Kristee Li in this story. Then there's the fact that this book left me with nearly as many questions as answers.

I haven't decided yet if I'll pursue this series further, although I'll probably give it another try down the road.
