Poor beginning of series. . . read the others.
Cardboard characters, cookie cutter plot, dialogue that sounds copied from a sample board. The good news is that the subsequent books in the series are more worthwhile.

The horrible narration
I couldn’t get past the awful narration. Her voices are decent but not her narrative. Just awful. Would have returned the book immediately (and tried) but audible wouldn’t let me. Wasted credit.
