Was there so much sex or unrealistic sex that you rolled your eyes and/or skipped forward? No

The back story... The H is a detective who gets wrapped up in a case involving the murder of Atlanta Police Officers. His ex is a doctor who is facing issues after she helped a woman escape her abusive ex. Both still have strong feelings for each other.

The Romance... Very slow burn.

The drama explosion... The H stumbles into the murderer.

Final Notes... The drama explosion with the murderer is very drawn out and was a bit frustrating.

Both Thriller and Love Story

This book begins with a violent shooting if a cop. It has a lot of mis directs with Lydia the doctor. She is frustrating initially with her hidden feelings. Then other cops die, while a wife beater is stalking Lydia and his wife. Ryan the lead detective on the cop killer case and Lydia's ex is the hero. He interacts with all parties. However not fast enough before the killer strikes several times and close to home. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Perfect Combo

A little romance, a little suspense and you’ve got me hooked! I was so surprised by the storyline, the plot twists and the performance. For a free audible book this hit every mark.

Well written & suspenseful, Leslie Tentler has written an intense mystery and suspense thriller with some romance sprinked in.
This was my first read of Leslie Tentler. I will definitely read her again. I listened to the audio version on audible. It was included free with membership.  The narration was top notch and helped the story come alive.
Although I guessed who the killer was pretty early on, the writing kept me wanting to find out how they would be caught.

Second Chance

Very suspenseful second chance romance. A cop killer and a shared past tragedy lead these two back together.

loss of a child is devastating

This was a great read. An interesting storyline that showed how devastating loosing a child can be and also how abuse from a parent can twist a person's mind. I really felt for Ryan and Lydia in this story. You could feel the pain each had suffered over the loss of their child. The main plot had never thinking a lot in this book. I didn't dawn on me as to who the killer was until Adam was struck down leaving the bar. It all clicked then. I loved how this one kept me guessing. There was plenty of action in this book and I liked that there was another man vying for Lydia's affection, making Ryan work that much harder to win her back. This was a really good read, and I would like to know how Ryan and Lydia get along in the future. As to poor Molly, I totally understand how what happened to her in her past set her on such a destructive path. Great story line, strong characters, made this a read to remember.

Fantastic second chance story!

I enjoyed this book so much that I couldn't stop listening. I finished it in 2 days. Non stop guessing who dunnit throughout. I didn't see it coming until it happened. Narration was excellent as well. I highly recommend it!

Enjoyable

I enjoyed this story very much. I listened to the whole story in one sitting. I liked the twists in the plot and the romance wasn't in your face the entire time. The romance between the main characters was more believable than most stories.
