Essential reading for faith-driven entrepreneurs

A fantastic read - it may not go into a step-by-step playbook of everything needed to be an entrepreneur, but there are plenty of other books for that. What this book did challenge me, an aspiring entrepreneur, to think critically about was much more of the “why” and “how” of my entrepreneurial journey. I have also been through the FDE Bible study and Chip Ingram’s “Genius of Generosity study”, as well as started to listen to the FDE podcast. While there is some overlap, this was still packaged in a way that was thought-provoking and useful.

Great job to the FDE team - I appreciate everything you’re doing!

Excellent lessons

I love how the story elevates the role of the entrepreneur. Instead of feeling, like I am odd, I now realize that what I have to offer is valuable.

A Good Base For Starting Entrepreneurs

My name is Alex and I recently started a clothing brand called “Good Shepherd”. I started this brand to help spread hope through Bible scripture and at times I found myself obsessing over this brand. After reading this book it really helped me change my perspective on how I was and would continue to approach this business.

My favorite part of this book was the chapter of willfulness vs faithfulness. This is my biggest takeaway that I will continually have to look at as a reminder that I’m not doing this for myself but for God’s kingdom.

Guidance on where to be with god

I Loved the enlightenment on where god should be in my life. Putting him first and doing things for him and people should be at the forefront, not profit.

Meeting FDE was a turning point to my faith. Before this community, a huge part of my Christian identity was vague, tiring, and lonely. With hundreds of stories and well thought-out teachings from FDE movement, it became clearer, light, and strong. This book is a synthesis of what FDE is all about. I'm so encouraged by this book that I made my mind to find ways to translate this into Korean (as I'm originally from Korea).

And Henry is such a good narrator, so you can't go wrong with the audio book.

There’s more to the story!

A find listen for faithful entrepreneurs. It is often necessary to visit the space that drives us. To hear from others and to have reassurance in the movements forward. This book is well received.
